COMPETITION RULES

The main goal of the competition is the promotion of tourism around the ‘Coast of the Gods’ (Calabria – Vibo Valentia Province) by sharing all photos and videos involved in the competition.

We are aiming at making the world know those wonderful views and sunsets over Stromboli that can be admired from the beaches of Vibo Valentia Province and from the beautiful natural terraces of Monte Poro.

We bet that in 5 years time this will be world’s most famous sunset.

An unmissable event for photography enthusiasts from all over the world.

HOW TO ENTER THE COMPETITION

Simply enter the competition by filling the form on the website.

The first Competition starts on 27th March 2019 and ends on 7th May 2019.

For the first Edition, it is also possible to submit photos taken in the past years. 

PRIZES

There are 3 Sections:

Section A (Analog photos)

1st Prize: € 500,00

2nd Prize: a weekend in a 4-star resort (2 nights)

3rd Prize: one night in a B&B in Tropea

HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR PHOTOS

Photos for the Digital Section must be submitted on the website or sent to info@itramontidiulisse.it from 27th March to 11.59pm 7th May 2019.

All photos that do not portray Stromboli will not be taken into consideration by the jury

All photos and videos will be shared on social media, on the contest website and on our Partner’s webpages.

ACCEPTANCE OF REGULATIONS

Participation in the competition implies full acceptance of the following rules.

Each Author is the owner of all rights to his original works and assumes personal, civil and criminal responsibility for the submitted material.

The Competition Organization cannot be held responsible of the works and is not liable to the people depicted in such material.

It is up to the Author to inform the interested parties under Article 10 of Law 675/96 and Legislative Decree of 30 June 2003, no. 196, and any subsequent amendment and addition and to obtain their consent for distribution.

In no case should the images contain data classified as sensitive or offensive.

Each Participant declares with own liability that has all rights to the originals, the digital data and the elaborations of the submitted photos/videos.

Each Author retains the property of the photos submitted to the contest and transfers the rights of unrestricted, free of charge use and publication of images to the Competition Organization.

The Competition Organization is entitled to publish the images in magazines, newspapers, websites and any  other media on a non-profit base, with the duty of mentioning the Author of the photo/video each time.

Under no circumstances may the Competition Organization pass on the images to third parties without prior consent of the Author.

The second Competition ‘I Tramonti di Ulisse’ will require a new registration. It will start on 5th August and will end on 15th September 2019.

THE JURY

The Jury is made of two principles:

  1. A Technical Panel: each member can assign a score from 1 to 20 for each photo and video of the candidate.
  2. People’s Choice: every photo and video will be published on ‘I Tramonti di Ulisse’ social media (Facebook and Instagram):

200 likes = 1 score

100 shares = 1 score.

The award ceremony will take place on 1st June in one of the towns on the Coast of the Gods.

A travelling exhibition with the collected visual material (photos and videos) is going to be organized around the towns that are Sponsoring Partners of the competition.
